Exploring Science Together: Interests, Collaborations, and Connections

Our research activities are conducted across two complementary laboratories: the Environmental and Molecular Airborne Allergy Research Lab within the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, Srinakharinwirot University (PI: Dr. Yotin Juprasong), and the MUSC Allergy Lab within the Single-Cell Omics and Systems Biology of Diseases Research Unit, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University (PI: Dr. Wisuwat Songnuan). Together, these laboratories form an integrated research environment addressing multidisciplinary questions in environmental health, immunology, and molecular diagnostics.

Current research interests span environmental toxicology with an emphasis on airborne particle–related diseases, the applications of environmental nucleic acids for aeroallergen detection, and the development of advanced airborne allergen monitoring strategies. Our group also explores AI and machine learning approaches for airborne particle identification, alongside the development of a microarray-based platform for detecting airborne pollen hypersensitivity.

Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed professors, faculty staff, fellow graduates, and friends,

Today, I stand before you as a representative of the graduates of the Faculty of Science at Mahidol University, and it is an incredible honor to have this opportunity to express our gratitude and share some memorable stories about our time at this prestigious institution.

Our journey through the Faculty of Science has been guided by a profound philosophy:
"True success is not in the learning but in its application to the benefit of mankind." This philosophy has served as a guiding light, illuminating our path not only toward academic achievement but also toward the application of our knowledge for the betterment of our society, Thailand, and the global community.

At the heart of our faculty lies a core set of values represented by the acronym MUSC, which stands for
Mastering our own strength, Uniting with the community and strengthening bonds with each other, striving for Success in every goal we wish to pursue, and nurturing a Creative spirit in both science and life.

First and foremost, we have indeed mastered our own strengths. We have dedicated countless hours to laboratories, libraries, and classrooms, honing our skills and expanding our knowledge in various scientific disciplines. Our professors and mentors have tirelessly supported us on this journey, urging us to unlock our full potential. Today, we stand as a testament to their unwavering dedication.

However, our journey wasn't solely about individual accomplishments. We've also united with our community here at Mahidol University and deepened our bonds with one another. The friendships forged during study sessions, the collaborations on research projects, and the shared moments of triumph and struggle have made our time here truly unforgettable. Together, we've learned the power of unity and the strength that comes from working as a team.

As we pursued our academic and personal goals, we've strived for success with determination and perseverance. We were encouraged to set high standards for ourselves and to never settle for mediocrity. Through hard work and resilience, we've overcome challenges and achieved milestones that once seemed insurmountable.

Lastly, we have embraced the spirit of creativity, both in our scientific endeavors and in our lives. The Faculty of Science at Mahidol University fosters an environment where innovation and original thinking are celebrated. We've been encouraged to question, to experiment, and to explore the boundaries of knowledge, and in doing so, we've discovered new solutions and made meaningful contributions to our fields.

As we stand on the brink of a new chapter in our lives, we carry with us not only the knowledge and skills we have gained but also the values instilled in us by this remarkable faculty. We have the power to use our education to make a positive impact on the world, just as we were inspired to do.

Today, let us express our deepest gratitude to our professors, faculty staff, and all those who have supported us on this journey. Your dedication and guidance have shaped us into the individuals we are today, and we are forever grateful.

Finally, I want to leave you with a quote by Mahatma Gandhi:
"You must be the change you want to see in the world." Let us, the graduates of the Faculty of Science at Mahidol University, go forth and be that change. Let us apply our knowledge and values for the benefit of mankind, and in doing so, let us pave the way for a brighter future, not just for Thailand but for the entire global society.

Thank you, Mahidol University Faculty of Science, for this incredible journey. Farewell, and may our paths cross again in the pursuit of knowledge and the betterment of humanity.

Thank you, one and all, for your unwavering support and belief in us.
